Get Out the Vote 2024

We are excited to engage our whole TBS community in the upcoming effort to get out the vote for the 2024 election. Once again, we are collaborating with the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism (RAC) to engage in a massive, national, non-partisan postcard-writing campaign. Statistics have shown postcarding to be an effective method of reaching voters, especially in underrepresented areas, which are also particularly vulnerable to voter suppression tactics. 

Temple Beth Shalom will make a congregational donation to the RAC on behalf of all of us so that individuals do not have to pay for postcard packets. In addition, TBS will cover the cost of stamps for all who choose this option. 

TBS members are invited to join together at a morning postcarding party on Sunday, September 15th, with bagels and coffee and/or evening postcarding party on Monday, September 16th, with pizza and salad. Attendees can participate for 10 minutes or the full two hours! 

Postcards will also be made available to anyone who prefers to write cards at home. Simply indicate when you register.

In partnership with several TBS teens, we are also coordinating an innovative social media push to connect with the college students and young adults in our community and beyond. Please contact Tzedek to work on the social media campaign.
