Workshop: Create Your Own Yad

Join Rachel Happel and Sarah Damelin to create your own yad! A yad (Hebrew word for "hand") is a Jewish ritual pointer, used by the reader to follow the text when reading from a Torah scroll. Participants will have a choice of materials to create a beautiful yad that you can use to read from our new Sefer Torah - or any Torah scroll! Questions? Contact Rachel Happel.

Children in grades 5-7 must be accompanied by an adult. The adult may assist the child or may create their own yad for an additional fee.
