Youth Engagement Professional

Rahel comes to us with six years of Jewish youth work as well as over ten years of administrative experience. Before coming to Temple Beth Shalom, Rahel lived in Israel for six months to work with underprivileged youth. Rahel is thrilled to be part of the TBS community. She loved being able to bring both her administrative experience and her passion for Jewish learning into her work. Rahel joined the TBS learning team in August 2011.

Aaron Gurvis

Youth Engagement Professional

agurvis@tbsneedham.org

Aaron is entering his third year as a part of the Temple Beth Shalom family, and his second as Youth Engagement Professional. Aaron joined the team in August of 2014 as a Jewish Learning Guide for Grades 2-3. Aaron joined us, and, at the time, several other synagogues in the Boston area, soon after graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he studied Linguistics and Information Technology. More recently, Aaron completed his Certificate in Jewish Education for Adolescents and Emerging Adults at Hebrew Union College, an experience that has greatly increased his passion for informal and experiential Jewish Education. Outside of TBS Aaron has also been a long time staff member at URJ Eisner Camp where he supervises and now prepares curriculum for the oldest unit of campers who are entering their tenth grade year.
